LAC Pilgrimages

Faith pilgrimages are journeys that hold deep spiritual meaning. These experiences have a powerful impact on those who participate, helping them to strengthen their faith, find peace, and reflect on their beliefs and values. Pilgrims develop a stronger sense of community by sharing the journey with others and their own church community. For most, a pilgrimage becomes a meaningful experience that inspires personal growth, renewed hope and deeper connection to faith, God and community.

“Presbyterian Heritage and the Reformed Tradition in Scotland”  September 2025

This eleven-day pilgrimage provided a deep dive into the Scottish roots of the Presbyterian Church as well as its contemporary expression in the Church of Scotland. Out group connected with the contemporary Iona community in Glasgow and on Iona. Highlights include Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Isle of Iona with its evocative abbey, and key sites related to the life and ministry of John Knox in St. Andrews and Edinburgh.

Rev. Bynum’s Reflection on Scotland provides an up close and personal look at the experience.
