Youth are not just the church of tomorrow, they are the church today. LAC offers several programs for our preteens and teenagers, all aiming to help them in their own spiritual journeys and to strengthen their connections within our community of faith.
Middle school students, in addition to attending regular Sunday School classes, can participate in our TGIF fellowship group. All high school students are encouraged to be part of SHiFT, which is overseen by our Youth Council. Ninth graders and older students who wish to profess their faith and become adult members of LAC are invited to prepare for Confirmation in a special program led by our two pastors.
TGIF
All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to join our middle school group, TGIF (Thank God It’s Faith/Fellowship/Fun). With a focus on working together and learning and growing in faith, TGIF offers a mix of activities—including food, games, service projects, discussions and prayer. Led by Louise Moore Williams and Rev. Jed Koball, TGIF meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of most months (except during school vacation weeks), and a few other times for service projects.
Upcoming meeting dates are:
