About LAC
Our Mission Partners

Larchmont Avenue Church (LAC) is deeply committed to serving those in need and is known for its service in our community and abroad.  In 2018, LAC, through the Church and Society committee, invested our resources in a variety of service agencies both at home and far away. Grants totaling $26,500 were made possible through the annual allocation from LAC's Benevolence Endowment Fund.  The grants, ranging from $500 to $5,000, were distributed to our mission partners.

In our efforts to promote compassion and justice for all, we have built relationships and long-term partnerships with a range of mission partners addressing needs such as hunger, mental health, and homelessness.

Rummage Sale Proceeds and Grants to Mission Partners

In May 2018, the Rummage Sale team partnered with the Church & Society committee resulting in another successful sale!  Nearly $17,000 in net proceeds were raised and will be directed to LAC’s community grants, with some funds distributed this year and some set aside to ensure the sustainability of the grants program.

The Church and Society Committee recently approved monetary grants to a number of LAC’s mission partners and non-profit organizations to help meet the needs of the people they serve:  The Bridge Fund, Bridges to Community, Community Resource Center, H.O.P.E. Community Services, Larchmont/Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center,  The Sharing Shelf, Girls Scouts, and the STEM Alliance.
