About LAC
Our Member Area: Realm

Welcome to REALM - Our New On-Line Connection-Maker!

We at LAC are moving to a new kind of church record-keeping database called Realm. It serves the administrative needs of our staff and also offers some exciting opportunities to support the way all our congregants connect as a church. We are hopeful that Realm will make it easier for our church family to connect with each other, keep up with church happenings, and grow as a connected community of Christ.

Getting Started - Let's Connect!

Stay connected to LAC wherever you go by submitting your request to participate in the REALM connection program. Here are three ways to get started:
1. Send a request to join REALM by email to:  lacoffice@lacny.org. A member of our church staff will then send you an invitation link to join REALM at the email address you used or provide in your message to us.
2. You may set up your REALM account directly by clicking this link: onrealm.org/LarchmontAvenueChurch
You will need to register for a new account, even if you are using the same email address that you may have previously used to access our old system, AccessACS.
3. You can also log in by downloading the free Connect - Our Church Community app for iPhone and Android devices. Once you are registered with REALM, you can use the app to communicate with your groups, RSVP to events, easily look up contact information in the Church Directory, manage your giving, update profile information, and more.

How does REALM work?

REALM makes it easier for us to connect throughout the week. It's user-friendly platform looks a lot like Facebook, and functions similarly to help our community stay connected. Through REALM, we can share:
News: Keep up-to-date with the latest announcements and LAC events.
Posts: Share prayer concerns or volunteer opportunities with the whole congregation, or comment directly to your committee or Bible Study group.
Photos: Capture your moments together and share them with your committees.
Events: See event details (date, time, location, etc), RSVP, and sign up.
Files: Access your committee minutes or group's shared files in one place.
Chat: Be in touch with whole committees or select individuals through chat.
Inbox: Send an email message to your whole committee, or select individuals
Directory: See names and basic profile details from contact info to allergies to meeting availability (based on privacy preferences--more on protecting your privacy below) for the people on your committee or ministry group.
Everyone registered through REALM at LAC gets a unique profile. Your profile is everything you want people at LAC to know about you. Your profile also enables you to join a small group, RSVP to events, track your giving, update your contact information, change family details, set notification preferences, or add your family photo. By keeping your information current, you are helping our staff, group leaders, and the LAC
Community stay in touch with you.

Using REALM for Giving

With REALM, you can also review your giving history or make new donations online or on your mobile phone. Simply sign in to look over your year-to-date giving, check pledge progress, print a contribution statement, or make a new one-time or recurring donation. It's always available and kept secure in an easy-to-use online environment.

Protecting Your Privacy

Your information is protected by privacy settings.
1. You have complete control over who can see your contact and personal information.
2. Contact information is never public or searchable on the Internet. Any information you elect to make visible to your church family is always protected behind a login.
3. Authorized staff will always have access to your profile information.
4. You and certain authorized staff may update your profile information. In some cases, your group leader may update your contact information if you have made it visible to group leaders.
5. For safety reasons, sharing contact and personal information for children under 18 is limited. Parents determine whether or not to display their child's name in the church directory. Communications with a child under 18 (for example: updates about TGIF or SHIFT meeting times) will also be shared directly with the child's parent or guardian.
6. Children under 13 may not participate and will not be able to sign in.
By default, the viewing of your contact and personal information is limited to members of groups you are in, group leaders, and staff members. If you choose to, however, you can make your information visible to the entire church in the online directory portal. But if you prefer to be more private, you can customize how people see specific information.
