About LAC
Helping our children learn and grow in faith

2nd3rd Sunday school

With over 80 students in 6 classes and 40+ volunteer teachers and teaching assistants for children in preschool through seventh grade, ministering to children is important to our church family.  Four out of Five people who become Christians will make the choice consciously or subconsciously between the ages of 4 to 14 years, so these years are an extremely important part of a person’s faith formation. Our goal is to help our children learn and grow in Christian faith through educational and music programs, worship, service projects and fellowship.

Sunday School classes are offered for children age 1 year through seventh grade.   Children under 1 year may be cared for in the nursery during worship. Sunday School meets most Sundays during the school year. Nursery and PreK children begin in their classroom each Sunday.  Children age kindergarten and older begin in worship with their families and are dismissed to classes from there, The first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday. On these Sundays children begin in their classrooms at 10, then PreK through 7th grade are led by teachers into the sanctuary to reconnect with their families for the sacrament of Communion.
